Jeannie Holliday – CFA, CDFA™, Financial Advisor

Jeannie Holliday is the co-owner of Independent Financial Services and has more than 25 years experience in the financial services industry.

For 18 years, Jeannie held an executive position with a national brokerage firm located in Tampa, FL, where she provided economic and product specific advice to financial representatives. There, she was quoted in industry publications such as Bank Investment Marketing and Fund Marketing Alert.

Jeannie earned her Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences in 1978, and an MBA with an emphasis in Finance in 1983 from the University of South Florida. She later earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1989 signifying her extensive knowledge of accounting, equity analysis, fixed-income securities, economics, and portfolio theory. In 2006, Jeannie became a Certified Divorce Financial AnalystTM (CDFATM). With this designation, Jeannie helps divorcing couples by developing comprehensive insight of the short and long term financial effects of divorce, saving valuable time, money and distress, especially if the process is conducted early in the legal proceedings.

Jeannie is the past President of the local chapter of the Network of Executive Women and a board member of both CFA Tampa Bay and the Network of Professionals, Inc. She is also an Affiliate Member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. In addition, Jeannie helps high school and college students by employing interns at Independent Financial Services and speaking to finance students at the University of South Florida. Mrs. Holliday is also on the Board of the Academy of Finance which prepares high school students for post-secondary education and careers through academic learning and hands-on work experiences.

Her professional registrations include: Series 7, 24, 63, 65, as well as Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuity insurance licenses
